What Are The Age Groups for Oceanman Cozumel 2023?

At both OCEANMAN and HALF OCEANMAN distances, participants may participate in different categories depending on their age and training experience. It is essential that swimmers understand these classification criteria prior to signing up for any race so that they can select an event that best matches them.
At OCEANMAN distances, an Elite category is open only to the top ten athletes in each age group, and swimmers who reach this ranking will receive a medal for their efforts in race day performance. All other participants will be classified according to age and gender criteria – Oceanman distance participants only compete against themselves, while Popular category participants race against everyone.
Cozumel Ironman 2016 finishing distribution was similar to previous years. Median swim times were faster, while bike and run distributions were slightly slower; however, due to being such an unpredictable course compared to others on the Ironman calendar.
At the Women’s 25-29 Age Group event, Britain reigned supreme. Katie Curd took home first place with an outstanding swim performance and held off Laetitia Lantz until late in her race. Lara Langston also performed well but her incredible final run could not overtake Curt.
Florian Schafer of France made Fyn a true celebration, winning by an enormous margin and dominating this age group without being challenged from behind by Eric Wardle of Great Britain – eventually falling back into bronze place behind Schafer.
At both distances of OceanMan and Half OceanMan races, swimmers are permitted to use wetsuits sparingly and only when necessary to protect themselves against cold water conditions or strong currents. Furthermore, they should refrain from accepting assistance from friends, relatives, or coaches during their race, as any violation will lead to their disqualification from participation.

On November 18th in, Cozumel will take place in the 10th Triathlon Ironman. From its inception, this event has been fully subscribed.
